basketball_practiceBefore we get the meet of the article, I want you to consider this point, no matter how good you are in your job, sport or any other activity there’s NO PERFECTION.

Perfection is that limit that is un-reach able, limit that is driving us throughout life.

You see I’m a big basketball fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, and my favorite player is well known Kobe Bryant.

For many people Kobe is one of the best basketball players that have ever lived, and that’s why many are comparing him with the GOAT Michael Jordan.

But, let’s stay with our topic.

As I said for many people that watch and like Kobe he is the perfect player in their eyes, starting from his fundamental, ball handling skill, shooting skills, intelligence and much more.

But wait, what about his weaknesses like being extremely selfish sometimes, and losing his nerves when he is losing?

Well, there you go. We’ve reached the point where there is NO PERFECTION.

The same can be said about fitness and your body transformation.

You see the bodybuilders for example, spending years of developing their body and they are still not completely built.

Every time some part is bigger than the other, or some is smaller than the other, and they just need to work and work and work.

That’s the whole point, there’s no perfection, there is just motivation, and PRACTICE.

THE IMPORANCE OF PRACTICE..

practice2

When we started this article we talked that there is no perfection and there is only progress.

Are there any limits, probably not, but what I have to say is the importance of the PRACTICE and your work ethic.

You see there is one simple formula that many people don’t understand and they ask themselves, but why I’m not progressing and I’m stuck.

PRACTICE MAKES PROGRESS, remember that.

I know many people that had ups and downs, but they didn’t stop there, they kept on fighting, training and doing their job.

Eventually they got where they wanted to be, because they put a lot amount of time in practicing their craft, learning about it, spending time with it, even sleep with it.

Let’s use this job of writing articles as an example.

For example, I started a year ago, I’ve written more than 400 articles on different topics and still to this day I know I need to work on my writing skills.

WRITE, WRITE, WRITE

Yes, I change the word practice with write, but that is the whole point of this and it’s very simple.

If you want to be good at something, you just need to focus on it and PRACTICE it.

There’s a story about Gilbert Arenas, also an NBA player, that was picked in the second round of the draft despite the fact that he thought that he was going to get picked in the first.

In one of his commercials for Adidas known as “From ZERO TO HERO” he says:

“For the first 40 games of my career I sat on the bench, they thought I was a zero.

Instead of sitting there and being bitter I just PRACTICED AND PRACTICED.

You are probably asking yourself what happened to this guy?

Well, he became one of the best players in the whole NBA league.

I guess with this I cleared your picture about how important is to train and practice your thing on a daily base well, it’s

VERY, VERY IMPORTANT.

THE JOY IN THE JOURNEY

practice4

Many times when you are dedicated and you work towards your goals, you will find the joy and pleasure in it.

Practicing and working what you love is the best thing you can do.

For example, if you want to be a programmer and create application for iOS and android, you will find joy in working and studying the languages like Java, C and C++.

Another example will be if your goal is to build great muscular body, you will find joy doing 1000 pushups, or cooking the meal full of proteins and carbohydrates, because you know that will bring the results you are looking for.

Remember that you will find the most joy when people say “wow, look at that body “, or “how did you built that body, its great”.

This is the point where you will be filled with joy while feeling proud at the same time,

So get up, work on your thing, and leave people without words with your ending results.

As a conclusion, I will say one thing.

STRIVE FOR PERFECTION, DESPITE YOU WILL NEVER REACH IT, that will drive your motivation and dedication towards your personal success and goals.

PRACITE the thing you love, and never get satisfied.

For example, if you reach 100 kg on bench press go for 150 kg. If you have 76kg with 8 percent body fat, go to 5 percent, and so on.

As an ending point of this article I will mention the quote from B.K.S. Lyengar

and will suggest you to use it as your motivation.

“Transformation is sustained change, and it is achieved through practice.” B.K.S. Lyengar

I hope I held your attention and you find this article interesting and useful at the same time.

Till next time,
